04.14.2008:
Yeah, i'm still comin' down from the sugar-high that is Heroes Con! Such an awesome year this time - as it seems to be every year, Nic and i had so much fun and met so many great people. Now there seems to be a lot more people walking around the world either sporting a killer Rummel shirt or have a kick-booty poster on their wall. So, as you can tell, i had fun, did you have fun? i bet you did. Thank you so much to all the you cool kids who stopped by the table to say hi. I can't wait till next year. peace and love ande peace and love ande 04.14.2008: So i finally have an update. i have posted five new sequential pages for the two books, Copper and The Amazing Voyages of Michael Vahey, but not the six pages i've completed for a story going to Negative Burn (from Desperado), written by Brad Walton. you'll see those when it comes out. go to the Exploits page to see them. peace and love ande 02.25.2008: Yes the shirts are done!!!1!!111!!one Now all i have to do is go down...and... when the hell am i going to find time to go to Black Sheep and present the shirts. poop on me. It'll happen. and i know i missed two weeks of Dresden, but poop on you, its there. so put your pants back on and go over to the Exploits page for some Dresden lovin'. peace and love ande 02.11.2008: I said i was printing shirts, well here they are: peace and love ande 02.10.2008: So far two weeks of continuous work! Last year i got this far and pooped out - it was a great foreshadowing for the rest of the year. We'll see how this goes. There are new pics of progress in the Exploits Page for you to see. As well as a New Issue/Page of Dresden is up and ready for your eyes to pop right in your head. Go on check it out!. There will be a new page next week as well as more update for this year's Cons. peace and love ande 02.02.2008: As long as my cat stops jumping on the keyboard;llidwopaweriwslsknnoisuykloiSDV - Dammit!! Let lock her out of the room... Where was i!? Oh yeah, Dresden is up and ready for your eyes to pop right in your head. Go on check it out!. Come back every week for a new page! On that exploits page, you'll also find Ande's Road To Heroes. There you'll get updates on what Ande is finishing up for the Heroes Con and Dragon Con. Still no reply from Dragon Con officials - even if i don't get a booth, i can walk around and hand stuff to editors and who ever wants to give money to a poor starving waist 40" artist. We'll see. Also keep your eyes out for when the Boutique goes through a major overhaul. I just want to streamline what we sell. peace and love ande 01.23.2008: Wow! Major change around here! Baby got'tan atom bomb, a twenty-two mega-ton - you;ve never seen so much fun! All new gloss to freshen up the new year. A redesign doesn't fix the issues that have spilled over from last year. No worry - i am feverishly running around trying to tie loose ends and cut off dead projects. I resolve to be a better person. Button, button, who's got the button... Dresden does. "Dresden" will be a weekly improv one-page comic for all you boys and girls - did i mention its FREE!? But don't start looking for it till Feb 02, 2008. That's just eleven days away. Don't pee yourself, now. So far Ande will be making an appearance at Heroes and Dragon Con. Perhaps a booth at each one - let's just look into our pocket book to make sure. I haven't spoken to Nic, yet. He is most likely to be a go for Heroes, no guarantee for Dragon. For the shows, all you lucky ducks will witness Three, yes count them, Three Books from Ande.
peace and love ande ##below this line, there's no guarantee the links will work!## 01.01.2008: A new year, a new RUMMELx2. As a virgin company, you start to notice quickly that intended concepts fall apart. It takes awhile for any new venture to see their final, steady flow of company-ism. Things go well for a while but then sour after a couple attempts. Don't get us wrong, comics are still the number one intention, but all the others gimicks are still under construction. T-shirts, posters, comics...there's so much to want and so little time to achive it in. We need to just focus our talents into a comfortable niche. last year just fell completely to pot, and i just hope this year is just a little better. Promises were made and promises were thrown away. Projects started and never finished. I hated 2007. I have no expectations for 2008 - none. I just want to take it one project at a time. The last of 07's projects are finishing up and the rest of january will be used to tidy-up the scripts for Copper, Michael Vahey, The Silver Star and Capsules. whioch reminds to start letting you know about Capsules. It will be a weekly one page comic. The story might arch over several pages or just complete in one. I have a few things scripted but i want it to be improved along the way. It will be published every sunday here, run through all of 08 and end on the last sunday. 2008 needs to be cleaned-up. I fumbled and mucked-up 07, i need to wipe the crude away and just present a clean solid home for RUMMELx2. You guys will see changes. peace and love ande 10.26.07 Ok, so maybe Myspace is not all that of a horrible place. I got a bulletin asking for resumes for ZooYork. Of course i jumped on that! Not that i expect anything from it. But if those lovely boys and girls over at ZooYork decide to pay my little WenPortfolio a visit, i hope they get the new updated resume. I have so focused on getting shirt and comics going that i forgot about having an updated resume. It was actually fun to go through and update everything. Unfortunately i sent links to a res that left a couple things out - like Adobe CS and all the photo restoration thingies I do at work. So i updated and reposted the files on the server. Hopefully they just got the links and can get to the new files. but if not: Adobe Portable Document Micro$ucks Word For Appleworks or iWorks Rich Text File for others -you can right-click or ctrl+click the links and save to desktop, but you guys probably already know that. peace and love ande 08.26.07 No apologies. So, I have completed a few things: The Octopus Painting, The Michaelmas Fair, Preschool shirt run, Chocha Loca shirt run, and have picked up a few more projects. Aside from that, a couple days ago, Joe Pruett (the blood and sweat behind Desperado Publishing) emailed to request my little Apple story for a coming issue of Negative Burn! I will let you guys know the issue as soon as I do. Other Neg Burn news; I am actually sitting down to pencil past page three of First Night Out (to be submitted to Neg Burn). It's a vampire coming of age story for all to enjoy. Plus, I now have a Wacom Tablet! It may not be the super duper best tablet, but omg, it sure is fun. I got it to make some extra cash at work turning portraits into oil paintings. Ellen is not a fan of the process, but the people seem to flock to it. I'll show a few when i complete some really wicked ones. Plus, the tablet is giving my the idea of inking digitally. Pencils not so much. i still want the tangable original to say: yeah i did that. and some day historians will look upon them and say, yup, he did suck! Talking about pencils: Don't forget to check out the Pencils for a personal painting I've started. It is inspired by Memoirs of a Geisha and Madama Butterfly and a really old portrait i stumbled across. *click here* A cool project i have going on is a total design scheme for a jazz singer friend. She wanted a business card design and then we started talking website and letterheads and car detailing. Now, I am designing it all for her. First Night Out will be awesome and after that will be more awesome. Aside from three short stories i will submit to Neg Burn, I am going to start putting the first arch of three title characters of the rummel universe. Copper (gothy batman), Silver Star (the wholesome super man) and Maichael Vahey (the indiana/tom swift all american heroe) will finally get the serious attention they have been waiting for. I am getting antsy and just want to stop waiting. I am just going to jump in head first and try to publish three title at once. Don't forget to check the update blocks for new gallery pics and project updates! peace and love ande 08.26.07 Greetings Diggity-digg digg, I have no guaranty that my server will hold up. I even asked them a few days ago if they were familiar with Digg and what could happen if so many visits happen all at once. They said things would be fine, so we'll see. If a mirror goes up before this server goes down - awesome. Welcome to our interweb home. Nic and I are brothers from Detroit and live in Charlotte, NC. We are whores for art and are trying to get out a little more beyond s few freelance gigs a year. That's why i felt the need to go to Digg, plus I am acurious how the server will hold up. We accept commissions for just about anything, and we screen print our own shirts. Hopefully there's something here that strikes your fancy. We sell shirts, posters, and sketches. You can even contact us for whatever illustration needs you might have. Do you want a great piece of art on your walls from some highly talented artists? Do you need a badass team of artists designing you next project? We can and will do anything - certain decency limitations do apply (we'll let you know when you go too far). Aside from all the greats things available right now, we are in the works of several new designs - so be on the look out for quality products from Nic and Ande. peace and love ande 08.21.07 Yes, that's right! Total domination is my game. The Battle Slam Jam, sk8 festival, this saturady (08.18.07) had a t-shirt competition. i will give you one guess to who the winner is. no, not big bird, but our very own Ande Rummel. his SPACEMAN design was not only the judges pick, but a crowd pleaser as well. man-alive, i swear that was one of the hottest days in charlotte. my face has started peeling from the sun's evil ways. at least in two days i will be perfectly beautiful as i usually am. But the show was awesome. great sk8ers and talented performers - news groups i had not seen before, made that saturday a simply amazing day. all the people walking about were fun - especially the ones that stopped and picked up a sticker or shirt (a big thankyou goes out to all those who enjoyed our work so much)! aside from all the wonderful people, DJ Spider (local badass DJ) picked-up a shirt for herself - now we are endorsed by two celebraties. holy crap this site looks awesome. i have been learning php and ajax as i went - and it has been worth it! i think this is the best site i have put together. of course that will be shattered by the next site i put together. but unfortunatly the boutique is not quite ready, so enjoy the rest of the site and have fun - remember, keep your hands inside the boat at all times. peace and love ande 08.01.07 Yes this is it, boys and girls. you have waited patiently for this shiney new toy, and here it is. half completed. I just don't know what it is today. I have been feeling like poop since 2pm. therefore the site wont be fully functional tonight. that's right! another ande promise fell onto the floor and was run over by an environment destroying SUV. It is 10pm and i am struggling to keep my eyes open. the last thing i have workled on was formating the images for web- friendliness. they are almost ready, and the troubling html is still rough. too many bugs at this point to actually uplaod the rest of the site. so here's a tour of what is coming real soon: to the left are update blocks. these will display four thumbnails of recently added images to their respective catagory. to the right is our society - our link exchange. if you are not listed and would like to be, caontact and at rummel@rummelx2.com and we'll work it out. below are main blocks that will carry the meat of the site. you will find info on current and upcoming projects with pics of the progress. you will get to see ande's photography and portrait work. plus a fun and easy way to purchase commissions. so many things and so little energy. but as promised, the site has been posted on Aug 01, 2007 - boo-ya! peace and love ande 08.01.2007 You can all just shut your pie-holes! as i see it, i still have seventeen more hours till my deadline is past due. 11:59pm will still be on 08.01.07. so keep checking to see when i get the site up. i am feverishly working to get things finished this morning, and then there'll be an eight hour gap in progress. after i will be free to finish everything. last night didnt work out for workingon the site, Nic and i finally had a chance to get together and print some shirts. good lord, our schedule conflict way too much! and if nic wants to go out to LA, damn, this shirt thing will never work. oh well. see you later tonight. peace and love ande 07.28.2007 I just thought i'd let you guys in on a commission i am finishing up tonight. the idea is a woman with two eel and an octopus in a very Mucha-ish style. well you guys know that i am already Mucha-lite (someday i will be Mucha 2.0). the guy that ordered this - back at heroes con, had Mucha on the mind after seeing a bunch o' pieces in a museum in prague. but here are the pencils: 'octopussy'. dont worry, that isn't the title of the piece. i am still thinking of that. as soon as it is completed, i will put it in the studio gallery. but remember the aug 1st launch. i cant wait for you guys to see this new design. i bet you guys are thinking "yeah right!". but i think you guys will be pleased. plus there will be a way for everyone to easily purchase commission without feeling intimidated. and it will be ready wed the 1st! peace and love ande 07.24.2007 Holy crap, you guys just migfht crap your pants when you see the new site. Ajax and CSS are so much fun. I am not a big fan of using the resource-hogging Flash as the primer for a website, so i turned to javascript. I remember the very first time i used CSS in a website. I was so young - just out of high school and hired as a designer for a web design firm, when i was seduced by javascript. I have been treated well in this affair. Almost everyday i am given a new gift that enriches my life - web design (sorry to be so dramatic), and pushes me to stress limits and achieve new goals. Listen to me. It seems i have wondered off. Things to expect from the new site: 1. All new all-in-one design that matches the rest of our promotional media 2. a gallery properly stocked with examples of studio work (illustration, photography and screen-printing). 3. an actual pricelist so you can commission your very own original from the rummel bros. 4. a properly layed out store to make purchases much easier. 5. more fun things to purchase as well as free downloads. 6. up to date news feeds, RSS, with weekly updates of the studio as well as flickr and deviantart acounts. 7. new photo adventures of the rummel bros doing stuff - nothing gross. 8. better link exchange. Aug 01st 2007 is still the launch date for all these new wonderful things. Ande has to finish everything up as well as finish five new paintings. Nic has some big projects boil as we speak - a hush hush animated little ditty and some pages for a kick-ass story. Working full-time jobs and doing all these things just drains everylast bit out of you. Its hard sometimes to just a little bit done. yet, we trod through and get what needs to be done done. peace and love ande 06.24.2007 So, there are changes to the Boutique, and you need to check them out. Prices have been reduced and new items have been added. Aside from that change three major changes are taking place as we speak. Nic and Ande are hard at work to total re-arrange almost everything. First big change is Ande's studio. He is throwing away all his Chi-blocking garbage and setting up better organizing furniture. This new setup will allow Ande to better serve clients for Portrait and Art needs. Don't worry, pics will be made of the new, fancy space. With Ande's room being cleaned out so he can focus on Posters and Portraits, all the screen-printing and Apparel equipment has moved over to Nic's studio - where it belongs. Nic's new living arrangments allow him to focus on his shirts and other screening needs. Rummelx2 will finally be efficient the way N & A always dream they could be. Now that the physical world is clean and creamy, the digital world should match. Ande is well under way for redesigning the Rummelx2 website. You all will crap your pants with the fabulous new features. This time the site will be fun with more interactive functions as well as maybe an RSS feed for all you junkie out there. Nic and Ande will even start a monthly photo adventure of whatever we get our hands into, and maybe even start reviewing books, movies and music we think you guys might like. With all the new projects we have planned, there will definitly be a section so you can see how N & A do what they do - nuts and bolts for all to enjoy. Rummelx2 is on its way to kicking everyone else's booty off the map. peace and love ande 06.21.2007 I told you, slowly but surely. just give me some time to fully implement all the new items and prices, then fun for all. I have added a cock shirt to the boutique and lowered all the prices as well. So maybe now you'll all want some - i know i do. peace and love ande 06.19.2007 Wow! Heroes was awesome. Met a lot of great people and sold a lot of great stuff. I would like to thnak all those who stopped by the table to say hi, and especially those who purchased some of our wares. Nic and i talked to Erik Larsen, who seemed to enjoy our work - can't wait to stay in contact with him. I talked to Michael Siglain for the portfolio review - he had good things to say. He mentioned something about introducing me to the Vertigo guys at San Diego. That would so cool. Now to figure out how to get over there for a day to say hi and things. OI! i have so much to clean up and add to the site that i will need a week to get it all arranged properly. Just so you know, there were a few items created just for the show that recieved such great response, that we are going to add these to the Boutique. A couple of posters and a new shirt will be available the 25th of june. please give me at least a week to clean up the studio and get things re-organized. Some new friends were made this weekend. Rosario Dawson is so cool! she bought a shirt and her uncle Gus bought some books and prints. There were some new comers to Heroes that had some really good work and i hope we all can keep communication up and maybe work on some collaborations. Keeley of Bloo Empire, has descided to join in on some collab fun - so stay tuned for more in fo on that. Remeber, just give me a week and the new stuff will be up and all kinds of fun can be had by all. peace and love ande 05.13.2007 Wow! I didn't even know i had skipped the 6th. i have been so hard at work, i must have slept right through it. the good news is that things will be ready for all you party people to enjoy. posters, books and shirts - oh my! the bad news is that i might have to strike michael vahey from the product list. i hope not. but there will be free stuff as well as stuff for sale. i swear, when you guys see our booth at heroes, you'll crap your pants. we are going to be working non-stop from now till friday 06.15.07) morning. In cools news, we purchased a new printer to print all these fabulous things for you to enjoy. HP it might be an HP but so far this printer has surpassed all quality from the epson 9600 i have at my job (a portrait studio). its great and you'll enjoy it, too. By the way, i am trying to raise money for this years printing, so send a donation and i will have a special gift waiting for you at the booth at Heroes. it includes a copy of lullaby. When you send the money (via paypal checkout) be sure to include as much info =about yourself as possible so i will know its you when you stop by our booth. or you can purchase a shirt from our Boutique. peace and love ande 04.29.2007 Hey Gorgeous! Where have you been all my life!? So i guess i have become the worst blogger ever - maybe a better blogger than jogger. So, the big news that breaks my laziness to actually write something is: nothing. I have no big news, i havn't even a clever anicdote to provide. I won't even say i'm sorry for not posting. Ok so maybe i do have an anicdote: "a peist a rabbit and a horse walk into a bar..." Oh you've heard that one. Well, the lent project went so well up until i had offered my talents towards Class Pictures for the preschool where my wife works. That turned into two week chock full o' four AM nights. Then Habitat for Humanity gave the go ahead on a project for screen printing several shirts for their Matthews, NC location. The parents loved the pictures and the shirts are awesome. These two projects really boost my confidence when i have slacked on so many other things. Nic has been designing shirts for Funky Roots Apparel and i have been rushing around doing almost everything. Issue two of Lullaby is ready for the pages to be drawn, Michael Vahey is ready to get started and i have a vampire story finishing. As for Heroes Con (june 15-17 charlotte, nc), Nic better have reserved a booth - i havn't talked to him in weeks. We will have books, shirts, and posters ready a waiting for you to take them home. They need a good home and we need your money. There will be freebies and lots of fun conversations about midgets and dancing bears. Next sunday will have a new post, even if all i have to say is "poop". peace and love ande 03.04.2007 Here we go again! This is week two in Ande's big image a day. unfortunately Ande also had to work for the Opera, Rigoletto, this week. So he would leave for work and not even get home till 11pm. this was all week long and even sat and sun. There are only five images this week - and they have not been inked yet. don't worry, they will be finished for insertion to the book. shush - you're not supposed to know about that book yet. wait till the end of the project to hear all about this mysterious book. 06 07 08 09 10 Ande will keep this up all through lent, till Easter. Check back here, every sunday, to see each weeks images. You can also see the images updated at our MySpace Page, myspace.com/rummelx2 or Ande's DeviantArt Page, anderummel.deviantart.com. Aside from his Lenten Discipline, Ande will continue to produce new pieces of art - and today is the big announcement for his intensions for this summer Heroes Con. Ande will have four books avaible for sale. Lullaby #1(reprinting form last year's), Lullaby #2 & #3, and The Amazing Voyages of Michael Vahey #1. Ande will keep you guys updated every sunday till the show - so come back to know whats what. There's nothing new in the gallery, but check out the Studio page to see all kinds of fun images. Or go to the Boutique page to buy some wonderful shirts and posters. peace and love ande 02.25.2007 So now we are in another Lent season. for his discipline, Ande will be finishing a picture a day. colour or b&w, it doiesnt matter as long as it is a finished image. Ande has started this discipline wed the 21st, Ash Wed, and has five images ready for you all to see. 01 02 03 04 05 Ande will keep this up all through lent, till Easter. You can also see new images in Ande's gallery in the Studio (images 19-25). peace and love ande 01.08.2007 Ok, so now I feel like a dirty whore. I just set Rummelx2 with a MySpace page. It is, oddly enough, myspace.com/rummelx2. I don't mind if you add us as friends, but we aren't going to be very friendly. I just plan to use it to show newly added items to the Boutique. Which, by the way has two new items - a poster by Ande. Its a cool fish phaerie thing. You can see nipple. It will be available in three(3) sizes - 16"x30", 12.5"x24", & 10"x18" & a shirt by Nic of a badass big red unicorn - but i don't want to sound like a queer or nothing. Go get them while they're hot. Oh, and a super coolness goes to Ande this month - he got a new dslr camera. We have been playing with it all week! As soon as Ande gets his hands out of his pants, he will start taking artfull photographs for the site. Now that expenses won't be lost on film development, there will be planty of fine art photography available here. Ande has always labeled himself an Illustrator/Photographer, maybe now he'll prove it to you all. Since we are on tech subjects, Ande has updated his system to BLAG (blag linux and gnu) LINUX. The boys at BLAG have really put together a great Linux distro, and now ande has Adobe Photoshop running on his system again. Gimp is a good bitmap editor, but nothing beats photoshop. peace and love ande 01.01.2007 Happy New Year! Yes we have grudged our way to another year. Oh what a year it will be. Technically it is the year of the boar, but Nic & I will make it the Year Of The Cock. Yeah that's lame. Don't worry, it won't be said very often. I write this as my head still swims it the wonderful sea of Barenjager (JagerMeister with a honey base rather than a licorice). So excuse me if i go astray for a moment. Ah, the great race is on to change the whole world into Rummelx2 Land. I have a plan. By the second week of january, we will be advertising at, at least, four seperate web comic news places. I just hope my server can handle all the bandwidth. We'll see. In the Boutique, Nic has Two shirts up and ready for you to purchase. There will be some additions soon - posters by Ande will be added in middle of january. These items will remain for sale till April when a slew of new items will be available. Following the Three items per three months model. In three years they will be available again in an archive boutique. Go ahead and look around, there might be some changes somewhere you havn't seen yet. peace and love ande 12.09.2006 Wow! So much has happened in these three years...Ok, so maybe three years haven't passed - but it sure feels like it. Our mother is doing much better. I took my wife to see Spamalot for her birthbay and it was awesome. As you might have noticed, there are several differences to the site since we last spoke. the biggest update is the boutique, over to the left. There are three shirts available and three posters are on hteir way. This items will remain longer than what the standard wil be because i havn't got the boutique ready all the way. They will be ready for purchase up until April 1st. After that all available items will only stay in the boutique for three months - this is so we all don't get bored. This news blog has become the exploits section - i say i will update rergularly, but you know the truth. the studio gallery has been moved to this frame and has lightbox.js implemented (i know weveryone else does, but it really streamlines the site). I really want this site to be simple to use and...well, to make some money. I hope you all enjoy your stay, this time, and come back many more. peace and love ande 09.15.2006 Holy Crap! Negative Burn #4. go out now and riot the streets for your very own copy of this Desperado Publication. i have to thank joe pruett so much for putting my four page story in. he loved it so much at the Heroes Con, and i hope he'll love the next story i submit just the same. peace and love ande 09.09.2006 Ok, so i have been a bad boy. I havn't posted any news in a while. well here you go, and shut your pie-hole! A couple really cool things have been happeneing d=since we last spoke. no, my job continues to suck, but i stumbled across a brand new community of illustrators: AmateurIllustrator.com. It is a forum based community where the members can post their works and get constructive criticism from other memebers. there is also a section to build you own gallery that members or visitors can view. I love the place so far, and have no intensions of leaving anytime soon. The coolest they could ever do has been done! They wrote an article about Us! Coolest Article Ever! Sweet! There, unfortuntely, is no new stuff to post since our mom got ill and I have been taking care of her for the past week and a half. but she is better and I am off to mail my slide to artrenewal.org, finish the first two issues of my story for Pixel Strips. Nic has finished HtSiE no.1, again (succeedinevil.com) - I swear that boy has nit-picked that issue to death. It does look awesome, though, and Myron's (artninja.com) colours kick ass! peace and love ande eight.eighteen.twenty o'six Nic and Ande are busy busy busy! Nic is finishing up the next issue of Evil - when i saw Myron's colours on issue one, i crapped my pants. every thing is awsome and i cant wait to give you a taste. However, succeedinevil.com may have a taste. i need to check with Patrick on permission to show some pages. You guys will love it. I think nic has something going on for Pixel Strips.com, i'm not sure. i do have something in the works i will present to Kevin Volo over @ Pixel Strips.com - and it will be three pages weekly. I also want to let you know that i have a ten page story i am illustrating for an anthology book. There is a taste in the Exploits section (the oval portrait), so check it out. Remember our friends @ Jaded Expressions? I am going to try to start a one page a week strip for their mag. Nothing complete on that yet, but i will post in exploits as sooon as something is gone. peace and love ande 08.02.2006 It seems lots and lots of people want the rummel boys to illustrate books for them. We are getting proposals left and right now. Could it be the Jaded Expressions' Artist Showcase, or is it that people just now recognize our badassity. Anyways, things are moving along. Nic is getting HtSiE coloured by Myron Macklin (artninja.com), and they are almost finished with issue one. Ande has completed his second attempt at a painting for The Art Renewal Canter's Competition (artrenewal.org). Check it out in the Exploits section under Art Renewal. Patrick Mclean, the writer of HtSiE (succeedinevil.com), doesn't feel that the twenty million links to succeedinevil.com on this site are enough. So, this one's for you Patrick: succeedinevil.com <--that's a link. peace and love ande 07.15.2006. I am excited, even though I just finished mowing the lawn. The Artist Showcase featurette now has my beautiful booty uploaded for all to see. You should go check it out, Jaded Expressions' Artist Showcase. If you don't check it out, I'll break your kneecaps! I know I said I'd post Karl Story's print process and the steps to greatness for ARC painting, but I have been so busy and my boss is a big penis head. So, I swear you will see at least one update this coming week. Besides, my wife Ellen will be in Massachusetts for the entire week. Sweet, no honeydoos! I wont have to worry about neglecting her for my art. I will be waking early for work, and staying up really late painting and screen printing. peace and love ande 07.08.2006. I wont be on of those bloggers that updates every single day, but I will let you know when something cool just happened. Like today, I just uploaded Prince Charming to Joe Pruett for Negative Burn. Joe says that the story is slated for the november issue. I havent talked to Nic about HtSiE (How to Succeed in Evil), but not even I have heard back from the contacts. We will see what happens. Friday I put the artist submission pack in the mail for Dark Horse - fingers crossed. While at work that day, I fell into the Art Renewal Center - I feel at home there. I found out about this place this time last year. I so wanted to enter the art competition, but I felt I wasnt ready. I feel different this year and I want to see waht they think about a Modern Art Nouveau style. I am putting the BaBA (Building a Better Angel) project on hold for a month to start and complete a painting for the ARC competition. Dont worry, you guys will see the progress. peace and love ande 07.06.2006. So, I am finally getting the website fully fleshed and ready for all who may come. It is thursday and while working, I decided to go ahead and put together a packet for Dark Horse. The reaction to my stuff at Heroes just boosted my confidence to a level that is pushing me to actually succeed. Aside from that, I made a new friend over at Jaded Expressions Magazine, an online arts and coulture magazine. Andrew Chung wants to feature Nic and I in JXM's Artist Showcase featurette. So check out our new friends at Jaded Expressions Magazine. As for the submission packet for DH, I am just going to submit for freelence talent. While that is in the mail, I will finish thescript and fisrt ten pages for my little project, Building A Better Angel. peace and love ande |
